Hi! First Post/Advice On a JW Friend?

long time lurker, first time poster.

:) i'm not sure if a post this long is allowed as a first post (or if this is even in the right section), but here it goes!.

so while in high school, i became friends with a jw.

Maybe she's outgrown your friendship?

While her JW beliefs may have something to do with it, some times friends drift away from each other, particularly in the post-school years. She doesn't have the emotional maturity/social skills to break it gently to you, so she's been ignoring you with the hope you'll get the message. Hence her short reply to one text, but ignoring everything else.

Don't waste your time worrying about her. Move on with your life and make new friends.

Strollers at DC

if i understand it correctly, strollers are not allowed at us conventions.. in sweden, a letter was written to the congregation, introducing this new rule.

however, quite a few families wrote letters to the society,.

asking if they wanted families with children to attend the assemblies or not... it was stated that they would not go unless strollers were allowed.. the society pulled back, allowing strollers in designated areas.. in norway, they didn t even bother to introduce the rule in the first place... .

it's hard for my youngest son joshua to make and keep friends because his autism gets in the way.

there's this neighbor boy who lives across the way who's asked to be josh's friend.

it's been so cool.

Have a new friend, turns out that she was recently DF'd

i live in an apartment community and several of us like to hang out at the pool and cook out.

this girl that i've known for a couple of months was talking with my husband and me the other day about sex and marriage.

she's going through a divorce and said that she doesn't believe in pre-marital sex.

Because she still believes in it, just be aware that her friendship will be conditional, and most likely, when she's reinstated, she'll drop you like a tonne of bricks.

Sorry to be a debbie downer but it's how it usually happens unfortunately.
